e-Update • 12 January 2007 Every Child Needs A Teacher, Global Campaign for Education, 24 – 30 April "If you can read this, thank a teacher!" That’s what the Global Campaign for Education (GCE) is doing this week and urges each of you to do the same. Worldwide we need at least 15 million more teachers if we are to meet the Millennium Development Goal of every child completing a quality education by 2015. The GCE provides country updates and pledges for an action week worldwide.
